LED aircraft landing light

The LED aircraft landing light will solve many troublesome problems associated with traditional aircraft landing lights. Major benefits will include an extended LED light lifespan and increased reliability. In addition, the pilot can utilize an array of operational functions not previously offered by traditional aircraft landing light systems. Update 12-15-09: We have conducted optical testing on two existing LED landing lights, and found that neither can perform as well as standard aircraft landing lights. However, we have developed a new method of dramatically improving the optical performance of our LED landing light. Our center beam intensity has been increased to outperform that of traditional landing lights, other LED landing lights, and even HID landing lights! Development is progressing rapidly. We hope to finalize our LED landing light design sometime in 2010.

The newest Nichia high flux white LED, the Rigel, offers 44 Lumens Typical in a package measuring only 3.0mm X 2.00mm X 0.7mm. This high performance LED performs best in general lighting applications, especially those with limited board space.

Lunar Accents Design has upgraded numerous products to incorporate this new LED. We currently have a large inventory and have decided to offer this white LED at a very competitive price point. All packages are vacuum sealed in the original manufactures static protection bag, and include factory lot numbers. Order 4,000 LEDs or more and we will populate your board using our automated pick and place with custom nozzles designed specifically for this LED.
