LED Lighting will help save our earth! Although compact florescent light bulbs (CFLs) may offer dramatic energy savings over traditional incandescents, they also contain hazardous materials, like mercury. Most modern LEDs are now RoHS compliant, and do not contain materials such as mercury or lead. Even better, LEDs can surpass CFLs in terms of energy efficiency. Today, many compact fluorescents offer up to 70 lumens per watt. However, LEDs can already achieve better than 100 lumens per watt!
